Emily Makes Art - Original Art by Emily Habermehl
My main focus in art is color, design and composition. As I go throughout my day, everything that I hear and experience triggers certain shapes, patterns and colors in my mind. My goal is to get these shapes and colors down on paper and canvas. I have a true passion for color as the art subject itself - how colors fit together, how they communicate with each other within the design, how certain colors combined with one another evoke a certain feeling - this is paramount in my work. This is what I want to communicate through my art.
I am very passionate about jewelry and craft making - I utilize my background in composition and color theory to create colorful and unique jewelry, home decor, and craft pieces.
I have been collecting since I was a kid and am now developing this passion even further. I collect and sell unique vintage collectibles and antiques - check out the link on the left to see my latest finds!
I am a social worker, artist and poet living in Austin, TX. My paintings, drawings, handmade jewelry, and unique vintage items are available for purchase.
